Congressman Trey Gowdy on the Constitution

  1. Okay Trey Gowdy. What say you about a Supreme Court nominee, political expediency, and the senate's Constitutional role in holding hearings?

    1. It is dubious if Congressman Gowdy's say about the Senate's Advice and Consent role is dispositive, as that is not a duty of the House of Representatives. Still, as a Conservative, it is likely that Gowdy would note that the Senate may choose to do nothing and that is a legitimate choice. That is unlike President Obama refusing to enforce immigration laws which is directly in conflict with his oath of office.
